DESCRIPTION ;; When Ebonystar was born, she was originally an all black kit, hence her name Ebony, but as she grew the black faded a bit in certain spots revealing her other markings. Ebonystar is known as a tortoiseshell, which means her fur mostly consists of black with a mixture of orange randomly placed throughout her fur. There are little no white markings on her except for the very tip of her tail. With medium to short length fur, she does better in the summer months than she does during the colder ones. She has somewhat of a delicate bone structure, with smaller paws and a thin lithe body, but she somehow manages to pack a fair bit of muscle underneath. She's never had any trouble sticking up for herself and she has quite a few scars to show for that. One runs diagonally down her left shoulder, acquired from a rough training bout with her mentor Cruelstar at the time. The fur grew back and parted different ways so the scar is fairly visible, even from a distance. She has a few more along her legs and a smaller one just under her jaw on the left side as well.

PERSONALITY ;; Ebonystar is kind of a hard cat to pin down. She was mentally and physically abused throughout her life by her mentor and later on clan leader, Iceheart/Cruelstar. The abuse certainly left its mark on Ebonystar causing her to be very bitter and untrusting. It's particularly hard to gain her trust, and first impressions are extremely important to her. Within 5 seconds of first meeting another cat, Ebonystar will have already decided her opinion on them and that opinion very rarely changes with time. She holds long grudges and is very unforgiving.

On the other hand, she does have a few good qualities about her. She is fiercely loyal and protective of her clan. She believes she did not deserve the title of leader and that Cruelstar only appointed her deputy because he knew how ambitious she was yet how inexperienced she was. Ebonystar was barely 24 moons when she was appointed deputy. Due to her inexperience, Ebonystar works hard to attempt to better the lives of her clanmates and heal the scars Cruelstar left on the rest of the cats.

HISTORY ;; kit: Ebonystar had a bit of an interesting life growing up. As a kit, she did your typical kit stuff such as sneaking out of camp and causing overall trouble for the rest of the clan. She had two other siblings, Whitekit and Boulderkit, both who adored her and followed her around everywhere.

apprenticeship: It was during her apprenticeship that things took a bit of a turn for the worse. At her apprentice ceremony, Ebonystar was given a mentor by the name of Iceheart, who was the ShadowClan deputy at the time. Iceheart was not known for his happy, light-hearted personality. In fact he was the exact opposite. To the clan he appeared as a bristly, if not a little bit rude, but very very accomplished warrior. How he acted to Ebonystar was another matter. For the extent of her apprenticeship, Ebonystar was forced to deal with brutal training sessions, where many times she would walk away bleeding, and overall degradement and harassment from her mentor. Iceheart treated Ebonystar like dirt but she was unable to speak up about it because of the high rank Iceheart held in ShadowClan.

warriorship: After a grueling apprenticeship, Ebonystar finally earned her warrior name, coming out at the top of all the apprentices she trained with at the time. She settled into life as a warrior in the clan fairly easily, happy to escape the close scrutiny of Iceheart She was given her own apprentice eventally and proved to be a skilled mentor. Moons later due to old age, ShadowClan's previous leader passed on naming Iceheart ShadowClan's new leader. Boldened by his newfound power within the clan, Iceheart changed his name to Cruelstar and began his tyrannical reign over Shadowclan. And who would he name his new deputy? His most favored warrior, Ebonystar. Once again forced to interact closely with her number one tormentor, Ebonystar spent most of her deputyship desperately attempting to live up to Cruelstar's impossible expectations. Only when a particularly bad bout of greencough managed to take away the last of Cruelstar's lives did Ebonystar finally manage to escape his crippling grasp on her life.

leadership: Currently Ebonystar, the newly named leader of ShadowClan, is trying to salvage her life and put the pieces that Cruelstar ripped apart back together. But can a cat really function as normal after taking so much mental and physical abuse throughout her life?

EXPLANATION OF POWER ;; Ebonystar is able to produce an acid from her claws at will. The acid is a dark purple in color and strong enough to melt the leaves off of plants in seconds. Or the skin off of a cat if someone so happens to deserve it.
